The Last 4 Years
Looking back on the past 4 years it seems like a lifetime. After 1 year of learning and making plans the pandemic changed everything. Despite all of that work, I am sincerely proud of all of the work that our Council and Staff were able to still accomplish.

I think all of society would be better if people took more pride in doing the things they say they will. Even in light of Covid, I am proud of the progress I made on the issues I ran on in the 2018 Election, here's some information on that and other accomplishments below:
Better Access to Council:

held many public meetings after hours

conducted educational sessions on municipal tax and development charges

met with many residents and interest groups to help work with Township
Improve Health Services:

successfully lobbied County to incorporate ambulance bay in new firehall

supported increasing County's investment in doctor recruitment

volunteered during Province's vaccination effort
Responsible Development:

voted for following processes, not rushing developments

ensured future developments include accessible units and more diverse housing options

worked with developers and builders to support the community

advocated for more parkland and trails in future developments

Other Notable Accomplishments:

Led the expansion of the Community Improvement Plan program to be offered throughout the entire Township, beyond just the village of Millbrook (see link below)

Worked with Council to strategically create employment area on Syer Line to bring upwards of 400 jobs to the community, while also generating approximately $1 million towards the cost of our New Fire Hall construction

Appointed Chair of Finance Committee of Peterborough County leading a team of councilors and staff to improve the County's annual budget presentation and financial reporting
​

Served as a County representative on the Peterborough and Kawartha Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Peterborough Public Health helping both navigate through the challenges of Covid-19
​

Volunteered more than 2 shifts per week during the Peterborough Mass Vaccination Clinics
