The Last 4 Years

Looking back on the past 4 years it seems like a lifetime.  After 1 year of learning and making plans the pandemic changed everything.  Despite all of that work, I am sincerely proud of all of the work that our Council and Staff were able to still accomplish.

I think all of society would be better if people took more pride in doing the things they say they will.  Even in light of Covid, I am proud of the progress I made on the issues I ran on in the 2018 Election, here's some information on that and other accomplishments below:

Better Access to Council:

  • held many public meetings after hours

  • conducted educational sessions on municipal tax and development charges

  • met with many residents and interest groups to help work with Township

Improve Health Services:

  • successfully lobbied County to incorporate ambulance bay in new firehall

  • supported increasing County's investment in doctor recruitment

  • volunteered during Province's vaccination effort

Responsible Development:

  • voted for following processes, not rushing developments

  • ensured future developments include accessible units and more diverse housing options

  • worked with developers and builders to support the community

  • advocated for more parkland and trails in future developments
