I grew up with my parents and 2 younger brothers on a farm in Cavan where I fell in love with country living and learned the value of hard work and being a part of a community.  

 

After attending Millbrook/South Cavan Public School in Millbrook and graduating from Crestwood Secondary, I went to the University of Guelph where I earned an Honours degree in Political Science.  I began work for an executive recruitment firm in Toronto before I graduated, and spent the next 12 years working in executive recruitment and in advertising and media sales. Despite living away, I was always drawn home.  Whether playing in the Sunday Night Hockey League or the Men's tournaments, or helping move hay or clean out a barnyard, most weekends I found myself back at the farm.

When I learned that the Township was having difficulty organizing a fundraising effort that was critical to the new community centre, I knew this was too important too the future of our community, and I had to help.

After co-leading the creation of the CMCC Project and championing the volunteer fundraising effort over 2 years and raising over $850,000 and working with the Township, I knew I was home to stay and there was more I could do.

​

It's been my honour to serve as both the Deputy Mayor and Mayor of Cavan Monaghan over the past 8 years.  I am proud of the achievements we've made, but there is more work to be done.  Having just started my family, I am committed to protecting the future of our community for my family and for yours.
